OOSKAnews Announces Launch of Weekly Water Report, Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union
2 April 2008 - OOSKAnews is pleased to announce launch of Weekly Water Report, Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union. This third OOSKAnews Weekly Water Report will follow the well-received format of its sister publications, _Weekly Water Report, Middle East and Africa which launched in September 2006, and Weekly Water Report, Southern and Eastern Asia, which launched in September 2007.
Readers will notice that the new Report, too, is sectionalized into _Commentaries (forward-looking, more analytical pieces); _Supply;_ Finance and Funding; _Environment and Waste; _Government Moves.
OOSKAnews has assembled a team of contributors in Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union and beyond who bring a wealth of experience to this publication, reporting on water issues in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. These contributors (local and national journalists, water industry specialists, academics, economists and regional experts) file content every day to our Editorial Head Office in the United States for editing and weekly distribution.
For the private sector, we write about projects; for the public and private financial sectors, we point out where their capital can produce results; for governments, we show how others have dealt with similar issues; and for NGOs, we shed light on areas of emerging need that may fit with their program goals.
To supplement OOSKAnews' original content (and as an added value service), the publication also relays _Local Reports, culled from water-related stories as reported by local media in the Former Soviet Union republics and Eastern Europe.
OOSKAnews anticipates that subscribers will include major water utilities, international lending institutions (private and _public), governments, NGOs, lawyers, accountancies, aid organizations, water consultancies, construction companies, engineers, and organizations in all parts of the supply chain to the industry in the regions we report from.
