October 14, 2008 -- OOSKAnews is pleased to announce launch the October launch of Weekly Water Report, Latin America and the Caribbean. This fourth regional OOSKAnews Weekly Water Report follows the well-received format of its sister publications, “Weekly Water Report, Middle East and Africa,” which launched in October 2006; “Weekly Water Report, Southern and Eastern Asia,” which launched in September 2007; and “Weekly Water Report, Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union,” which launched in April 2008.

 
The focus of the publication is to provide timely, tightly written information on regional trends and opportunities for decision makers in private industry, financial institutions, government, and NGOs.

October 1, 2008 ⎯ OOSKAnews Inc. will be a media partner for a number of upcoming water sector events, including the World Water Forum on March 16-22, 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey; WQA Aquatech Trade 2009 Conference and Exhibition from March 17-21 in Chicago, IL; the Water Investment World 2009 conference on February 23-25 in Bridgewaters, NY; and the Treatment Approaches for Water Reuse conference on November 12-24, 2008 in Orlando, FL.

It will follow the well-received format of its sister publications, Weekly Water Report, Middle East and Africa which launched in September 2006, Weekly Water Report, Southern and Eastern Asia, which launched in September 2007, and Weekly Water Report, Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union, which launched in April 2008.

The new Report, too, will be sectionalized into Commentaries (forward-looking, more analytical pieces); Finance and Funding, Environment and Waste, Government Moves, and Supply.

August 15, 2008 ⎯ OOSKAnews Inc. will be participating as a media supporter for several upcoming international water conferences and exhibitions.

OOSKAnews CEO David Duncan and members of the editorial and business development staff will attend the International Water Association 2008 conference in Vienna, Austria, from Sept. 7-12, Aquatech Amsterdam 2008 from September 30- October 3, and WEFTEC 2008 in Chicago from October 18-22, 2008.

The IWA conference brings together some 3,000 water professionals to share knowledge and advance the goal of sustainable water management.

Aquatech Trade Amseterdam is a leading international trade exhibition on process, drinking and wastewater technology.

July 14, 2008 ⎯ OOSKAnews will act as a media supporter for the first International Water Conference 2008, scheduled to take place at the United Nations headquarters in New York City on July 23rd and 24th.

The conference is organized by the New York Institute of Technology’s Center of Water Resources Management in cooperation with the United Nations (Department of Economics and Social Affairs) and the World Bank.

This will become OOSKANews' fourth water sector news publication, joining the regionally specific newsletters "Weekly Water Report, Middle East and Africa," "Weekly Water Report, Southern and Eastern Asia," and "Weekly Water Report, Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union."
