More than 20,000 people who will be directly affected by construction of the proposed $1.3 billion USD Baram Dam in the city of Kuching, in Malaysia’s Sarawak state, are refusing to leave and be resettled, SAVE Sarawak's Rivers Network (SAVE Rivers) president Philip Ngau told local reporters on September 19.
