New System Monitors Real-Time Water Supply Safety

TEL AVIV, Israel

A system developed by Tel Aviv University physicist Professor Abraham Katzir can monitor drinking water supply safety in real time. Katzir's system uses special fibers developed and modified in his lab that serve as sensors to detect "colors " in the infrared spectrum that can distinguish pure water from contaminated water.
