Saudis Provide $500 Million USD for Water, Sanitation in Egypt

CAIRO, Egypt

The Egyptian government will use a $500 million USD grant from Saudi Arabia to start or complete drinking water and sanitation projects throughout the country, according to government officials.

The grant is part of a $2.75 billion USD aid package from the Saudi government to help Egypt overcome financial difficulties in the aftermath of the January 25 Revolution.
