Manila Bay Clean Up Will Take More Than 10 Years

MANILA, Philippines

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) said it will take more than 10 years, plus billions of dollars to clean up Manila Bay.

At the Forum on Environmental Justice, hosted by the Supreme Court, Environment Secretary Jose Atienza said more measures need to be taken, such as massive dredging and removal of fishpens in Laguna de Bay.
