Abengoa Wins Chilean Supply Contract

Abengoa has been chosen by Cleanairtech Sudamérica S.A., part of the Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CAP) group, to develop a desalinated water pipeline in Chile. The contract, worth more than $65 million, will supply the mining industry in the Copiapó valley in the north of the country. The project, which should be operational in December 2013, will enable water to be transported from the desalination plant located north of the city of Caldera until it reaches two end distribution points, where it will supply companies in the sector located in the region, as well as helping to supply nearby towns and villages...
