Activists Allege Corruption in Delhi PPP Contract Awarded to Veolia

An umbrella association of non-government organisations, activists and trade unions has alleged corruption in the award of a major Delhi Jal Board (DJB) public-private partnership contract to a consortium led by France’s Veolia. The Citizen's Front for Water Democracy, which opposes water privatization in Delhi, said the DJB deliberately raised the cost of the round-the-clock water project in Nangloi to benefit the private companies.
