Peru Ends State of Emergency in Cajamarca

The Peruvian government on September 3 lifted the two-month-old state of emergency in Cajamarca, Bambamarca and Celendin provinces.

A statement from Prime Minister Juan Jimenez’s office said the government would remain on alert to deal with any further unrest, Andina news agency reported.
