South Africa Could Be “in Trouble” Unless It Conserves Water: Minister

South African Water Affairs Minister Edna Molewa warned this week warned that the nation could face water shortages if citizens do not take steps to conserve water. “If we continue with this trend of using water as if it is an infinite resource, we may find ourselves in some form of trouble," South Africa’s Times Live quoted her as saying at a breakfast briefing. There have been many predictions that South Africa could run out of water, she said, and this becomes more of a possibility without conservation. "We are, however, confident... because our water strategy and our plans for the future are all geared towards sustainability and security of supply," she added...
