TASHKENT, Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan this week cut gas supplies to its neighbor, Tajikistan, amid end-of-year contract negotiations and increasing tensions over Tajkistan’s plans to construct a large hydropower dam on the Vakhsh River, according to a spokesperson from Tajiktransgas state gas company.
