CAIRO, Egypt

Egypt’s Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation said it would cut the budget for water and sanitation facilities maintenance by 40 percent because of financial difficulties that have persisted since the January 2011 revolution.

The maintenance budget, which stood at $160 million USD, will be reduced to around $100 million USD.
