Turkmenistan Supports "Constructive Talks" Over Caspian Sea

Full Story - Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined Ashgabat's support for peace and tranquility in the Caspian Sea, and stressed that his country advocates negotiated solutions to disputes over the world's largest lake. Addressing a cabinet meeting last evening, Berdimuhamedov stated that Ashgabat supports "constructive talks" based on international norms and the national interests of all the Caspian Sea littoral states. "The full and effective materialization of all the capacities of the Caspian Sea is strategically important for the economy of all its littoral states, Turkmenistan in particular," Berdimuhamedov noted...
