Bolivian President Evo Morales and Chilean leader Michelle Bachelet held a bilateral meeting on September 4 on the sidelines of the South America presidential summit to discuss coastal access, water resources, economic integration, security and defense. The talks aim at trying to resolve an ongoing border dispute that followed the 18791884 war that pitted Peru and Bolivia against Chile.
