  • The Iraqi government plans to establish a "higher water council" to manage national water resources and negotiate international water issues, Iraqi officials said last week. “We are in the process of forming the new higher council. The draft law of the council will be referred to the parliament to revise and pass it soon,” said Minister of Water Resources Mohannad al Saadi.
