Disi Project Designs Finalized

The detailed designs for the Disi Water Conveyance Project have been finalized, according to Disi Project Director Othman Kurdi. The project is to begin later this month, Kurdi said. "Excavations on the route where the pipeline will be laid will start by the end of this month in conjunction with the Ministry of Housing and Public Works' excavations for expanding the airport road," Kurdi said. The project involves construction of a 325-kilometer pipeline that will convey water from the Disi aquifer in the south of Jordan to Amman. It is expected to supply 100 million cubic meters of water annually by the end of 2012...
