— The consultancy contract on the P station power and desalination plant is expected to be awarded this month, according to officials of the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA).
The $4 billion USD project has received minimal international interest;
only Mott Macdonald and Germany's
Lahmeyer International are on the list
for the consulting contract after bids
were submitted early last month.
However, interest in Dubai's power
and desalination projects has been
revived after the recent awards for
phase II of the Jebel AN M Station.
The P plant is expected to
have a total power generating
capacity of 1,500 megawats
and a desalination capacity of
100 million gallons per day...
