CAIRO, Egypt

The Egyptian Ministry of Housing and Urban Development in late October announced its drinking water and sewerage plan for the Sinai Peninsula in northeastern Egypt.

The plan aims to increase drinking water production in the two Sinai governorates to 370,000 cubic meters per day by 2012, up from the current production rate of 305,000 cubic meters per day.
