Ethiopia: Water Company Turns to Private Wells

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia

— The Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority is negotiating with companies that own private wells to expand its water supply delivery system.

The authority is trying to alleviate chronic water shortages in the capital. Only around half the city's residents have access to clean water.
