Five Kenyan Water Services Boards Issued Operating Licenses

— The government issued new 10-year licenses to five water services boards. The Coast, Tana, Lake Victoria North and South and the Northern water services boards each were granted operating licenses by the Water Services Regulatory Board after passing a merit test. The two remaining water services boards in the country, Athi and Rift Valley, have been operating on five-year licenses that are awaiting renewal in the near future, said Jacqueline Musyoki, CEO of the Water Services Regulatory Board.
