JOHANNESBURG, South Africa

- Four major players in South Africa's water industry have realized major profits in the 2007 financial year.

Africa's biggest water utility, Rand Water, recorded a 25.2 percent profit in the financial year ending in June.

This saw its surplus jump to $110 million USD for the same financial year.
