KAMPALA, Uganda

The parliament gave approval for the government to borrow some $52 million USD from the African Development Bank for the Kampala Sanitation Program. The funds will be used to rehabilitate and extend the 135-kilometer sewerage network to at least 15 percent of the city's population, twice the current level of coverage.
