Iraq Spends $1 Million USD in Al Diwaniyah

— The government of Al Qadisiyah province is spending $1 million USD to build two water stations in the city of Al Diwaniyah, 260 kilometers southwest of Baghdad. Falah Mahdi, the engineer in charge of water projects in Al Qadisiyah, said the cornerstone had been laid for the first stage of Al Diwaniyah central water station project. Mahdi said the $540,000 USD project consisted of installing water vacuum pumps, sediment tanks and six land filtration tanks, as well as providing the required chemicals for filtration and sterilization.
