Kuwait: Environmental Group Accuses Petroleum Company of Polluting

— Environmental group The Green Line has accused the Kuwait Petroleum Company of environmental violations that contaminate water resources. The group said it had documentation showing that the oil company was dumping large amounts of chemical waste near Wafra farms. The chemicals could pollute ground and well water, the group said. The Green Line charged that the oil company had conspired with subsidiary companies to hide environmental violations. The organization has called on the parliament to intervene. Source: Kuwait Times
