JOHANNESBURG, South Africa

— The newly completed Lesotho Highlands phase 1B water project is set to ease water woes and improve the economy of the South Africa's Gauteng Province.

For Lesotho, the benefits include new infrastructure, including new roads, provision of hydroelectricity, and new job opportunities in the tourism industry. The project also could help aquatic life in the area.
