Nigeria, PORT HARCOURT

— Water from Gurara Dam will be supplied to the Lower Usuma Treatment Plant starting next month.

Project manager Malam Ibrahim Babbaji said work was moving ahead of schedule, and that the entire dam and 75-kilometer water conveyance pipeline would be completed by December 2007.

Impounding of water for the dam started in July, according to chief engineer Carl Jensen.
