Oman: Deals Signed for Steam-Injection Project

— Petroleum Development Oman signed two engineering, procurement and construction contracts with Dodsal and Galfar Engineering and Contracting for the Qarn Alam steam-injection project. The Qarn Alam project includes drilling 150 wells, installing water treatment facilities, and generating around 18,000 tons per day of steam. "Close to 220 kilometers of pipelines and flowlines will be installed to connect these facilities with the wells for water supply, oil production, steam injection and water disposal," according to a spokesman for the Petroleum Development Oman. The deal with Dodsal was for plot facilities, and the agreement with Galfar Engineering and Contracting was for non-plot facilities...
