Qatar: Conference to Look at Islamic Project Financing

— Doha will host the second Annual World Islamic Infrastructure Finance Conference next month. The conference comes as project finance transactions in the Middle East are expected to reach more than $1 trillion USD in the next decade, with Qatar alone consuming $130 billion USD for large-scale power and water, liquefied natural gas, oil and petrochemicals projects. The theme this year is "Partnering with Conventional Financial Institutions & Developers to Capture the Boom in Infrastructure Development.'
