UAE: ADWEA Opens Bids to Privatize Abu Dhabi Sewerage

— The Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) has opened the bidding process to privatize the Abu Dhabi sewerage sector.

"The project is the first of its kind in the whole region, with major companies invited to own 40 percent, as well as to arrange finance, for the new sewerage treatment plants," said ADWEA chairman Shaikh Dhiyab bin Zayed al Nahyan.
