Zimbabwe: Harare's Biggest Sewage Plant Breaks Down

ZIMBABWE, HARARE

— A breakdown at Firle sewage treatment plant has led to untreated sewage being dumped directly into the Mukuvisi River.

The biological nutrient removal plants, inlet works, primary settling tanks, biofilters and effluent pumps, clarifiers, digesters, and boilers at Firle - the biggest treatment plant in the Zimbabwean capital - are all down.
