China's ecological conservation program for the sources of the
Yangtze River, Yellow River and Lancang River has produced results, according to a local conservation official.
The program, which began in 2005, covers three Tibet autonomous
prefectures: Yushu, Huangnan and Golog in the southern region
of China's Qinghai province, according to Li Xiaonan, Deputy
Head of the Qinghai office of the three river sources conservation
program.
There are 22 projects under the program that range from ecoconservation to infrastructure and from improved production to
improved quality of life for farmers, Li said...
