Corporate India Embraces Water Conservation

- Water conservation is turning out to be the latest trend among Indian corporates. Faced with depleting water supplies and drawing flak due to overexploitation of water resources, several Indian companies are directing their efforts to saving water, with construction of new water-friendly buildings for corporate offices and production centers, as well as in their residential and commercial projects. The water situation in India is precarious. The per capita water availability has slid from 5,000 cubic meters per year during the 1950s to less than 2,000 cubic meters today.
