Israeli Experts to Help Sohra With Rainwater Harvesting

Israeli experts are launching a project to help the Indian town of Sohra, formerly Cherrapunjee, to restore the environment and harvest rainwater. Although the area receives an annual rainfall of12,000 millimeters, large-scale deforestation has led to the disappearance of perennial springs, which in turn has caused a water crisis.
