Ramos Says Metro Manila Supply Manageable

Metro Manila's water supply is manageable, according to Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Horacio C. Ramos. Although the water level of Angat Dam is declining, "The water situation facing Metro Manila and nearby provinces remains manageable," Ramos said. However, he asked the public to conserve water "to avoid the worse scenario of water rationing." The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR); the National Water Resources Board (NWRB); the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage Service (MWSS); the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA); and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) are coordinating on measures to ensure adequate water supply...
