— Singapore's
water agency, PUB, has called for
a public tender for Singapore's fifth
and largest water treatment plant.
The plant is to be completed by
2010 — a year ahead of schedule
— to meet heightened domestic
demand from the industrial sector.
The plant will be able to treat 189,000
cubic meters of wastewater per day.
PUB has called for a separate
tender to expand its waste water
pipeline network in Singapore.
NEWater, the brand name
given to the reclaimed water, is
provided mainly to industrial and
commercial customers including
oil giants ExxonMobil and Shell
and chip fabrication plants Intel
Micron and Siltronics Samsung...
