— Singapore's water agency, PUB, has called for a public tender for Singapore's fifth and largest water treatment plant.

The plant is to be completed by 2010 — a year ahead of schedule — to meet heightened domestic demand from the industrial sector.

The plant will be able to treat 189,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day.
