GAZA CITY

The United Nations urged Israel to ease its embargo of the Gaza Strip and allow the entry of spare parts and materials urgently needed to repair water and sanitation services in the region.

The Gaza Strip, which is run by the Islamist group Hamas, is suffering from an acute water crisis and the dilapidated water infrastructure is in need of repair.
