Two human rights activists were killed last week when a paramilitary group attacked an aid convoy carrying food and water to a blockaded breakaway region in southern Mexico's Oaxaca state. At least three other people were injured in the attack outside the town of La Sabana.

The town is located along the route to San Juan Copala municipality, which has declared itself autonomous.
