Construction of a water main to supply the Kazakh city of Aktau on the Caspian Sea with water from the Volga River will start late this year or early next year, according to Governor of Kazakhstan’s Mangystau province Krymbek Kusherbayev.
Kazakhstan signed an intergovernmental agreement with Russia to transport water under the project, Kusherbayev said earlier this month.
