Matrouh Starts Building Egypt’s Largest Desalination Plant

CAIRO, Egypt

The governorate of Matrouh, located in northwestern Egypt, announced the start of construction of the desalination plant in Baghoush.

Considered the biggest desalination plant to be built in Egypt, the plant will produce 24,000 cubic meters of water per day. It is being financed by the Armed Forces, according to Governor Taha Mohamed.
