Peruvian Indigenous Group Files Pollution Complaint Against Argentina's Pluspetrol

Indigenous organizations in Loreto, in Peru’s Amazon region, have filed a legal complaint against Argentine oil company Pluspetrol for pollution in the country’s largest nature reserve. The complaint was filed with the Environmental Prosecutor of Nauta by the Cocama Association for Development and Conservation of San Pablo de Tipishca (ACODECOSPAT), one of the base communities in the Interethnic Association for the Development of the PeruvianRainforest (AIDESEP).
