The City Ombudsman’s Office has claimed that Colombian insurgent group the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) plans to launch a bomb attack on the water supply of the capital, Bogotá. The ombudsman, Jorge Armando Otalora, made the claim based on information he had received from citizens living in upmarket areas in the north of the city. Otalora stated the bomb threat was connected to extortion attempts.
