Climate Change Will Increase Flooding in 42 Percent of Land Surface Area

By the end of this century, climate change could increase the risk of flooding on 42 percent of the Earth’s land surface along many of the world’s 29 major river systems, according to a new University of Tokyo study published on June 9 in the British journal Nature Climate Change.
