PHNOM PENH, Cambodia

Hydropower dam construction and gold mining in southern Laos are negatively affecting water quality in downstream Cambodia, according to Cambodia-based environmental group the 3S Rivers Protection Network, which monitors the Sekong, Sesan and Srepok rivers along the Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia border region.
