Lower Mekong Ministers Endorse Development Pillars, Projects

Foreign ministers from the Lower Mekong nations endorsed six development and policy pillars, as well as new plans and project, during the 6th Lower Mekong Initiative Ministerial meeting in Brunei this week.The meeting of foreign ministers of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam took place alongside a series of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting, including the ASEAN Foreign Minister's Meeting, a Post Ministerial Conference, the 20th ASEAN Regional Forum and the 3rd East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Meeting.The Lower Mekong Initiative promotes six development and policy pillars – Health, Education, Environment and Water, Connectivity, Agriculture and Food Security, and now a new Energy Security pillar...
