Yanacocha to Inaugurate First Conga Mine Reservoir in Peru

Expectations are high in Cajamarca because of the upcoming inauguration of a water reservoir in Chailhuagón, the first of four projects Yanacocha mine will build in Conga. The mining company’s investment is estimated at 4.8 billion dollars according to El Comercio. The water reservoirs will benefit the population’s economic activities in the region such as agriculture and raising livestock.
