Nigerian Government Approves $13.6 Million Water Supply Project

The federal government yesterday approved about N2.1 billion for water supply to Abuja Technology Village as well as the sum of N131 million for the design of engineering infrastructure and production of tender documents for the phase five of the three zones of Kyami District (A-C), Abuja. FCT minister Senator Bala Mohammed, who gave the hint while briefing State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, said that the two projects were approved following two separate memos he tendered before FEC. He said FEC, chaired by President Goodluck Jonathan, awarded the contract for the water supply in Abuja Technology Village to Messrs Mecca Nigeria Ltd, while the contract for the design of engineering infrastructure and production of tender documents for Kyami District was awarded to Messrs Vasons Concept Consultants Limited.
