Argentina’s ACUMAR Shuts Down Nine Companies Over Pollution

Argentina’s Matanza-Riachuelo Basin Authority (ACUMAR) announced last week that it has shut down nine companies for pollution.The shutdowns took place throughout October. The authority has cited a total of 1,197 companies as polluters. Of these, 282 have been shut down and must present a plan to halt their water contamination.It approved the industrial reconversion plans for another 822 companies.
