PUEBLA, Mexico

The use of hydraulic fracturing (fracking) has drained approximately half of the more than 200 wells that supply water to the municipality of Venustiano Carranza in Mexico's Puebla State, according to the municipality's mayor, Rafael Valencia Ávila.
