Germany Provides $118 Million for Water and Sanitation Projects in Jordan

AMMAN, Jordan

The Jordanian government last week signed a $118 million USD financing agreement with the German government for water, sanitation and climate change adaptation projects in the kingdom.Some of the funds will be used to improve water and sanitation for Syrian refugees in Jordan.The money, provided by German development bank KfW, is in the form of soft loans and grants. Germany will also provide Jordan with technical support to upgrade water and sanitation facilities.The Jordanian government last year received $191 million USD in loans and grants from Germany, France and the European Union for water, wastewater and energy infrastructure projects...
