UNRWA Announces $110 Million in Water and Sanitation Projects in Gaza

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) last week announced plans to carry out $110 million USD worth of water, sanitation and other basic infrastructure projects in the Gaza Strip.“The projects will be implemented after the Israeli authorities allowed construction materials to enter Gaza,” according to UNRWA spokesman Adnan Abu Hasna.The projects include water and sewage treatment plants in Khan Younis governorate and a sewage treatment plant in Al Nusairat.
